When you visit our website and mobile apps, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. Our apps & websites collect data that is processed ephemerally (it is stored in the memory for no longer than necessary to service requests in real-time for the sole purpose of app functionality).

Users can choose if they want the following data collected or not:

1. User payment info
2. Approximate location
3. Precise location
4. Photos & videos
5. Files & docs
6. Biometric face and fingerprints for faster login

To use certain functions of the app and websites the following data is required:

1. Name
2. Email
3. Street address
4. Phone number

TidyTask HQ utilizes biometric data (face and fingerprints) solely for the purpose of authenticating the current user, ensuring a quicker login/sign-up process. Providing biometric data is entirely optional and choosing not to provide this data will not impact any features of the application. TidyTask HQ does not store biometric data; only authentication data is obtained from the underlying application layer. It is essential to understand that biometric data is neither transmitted over the network to our servers nor shared with any third-party service.

TidyTask HQ allows workers to delete their data from the system.

To delete data, please follow the below steps:

1. Login to TidyTask HQ Worker app
2. Click on your profile icon on the top left corner
3. Scroll to the bottom of your profile page
4. Click delete

Your profile including all future jobs will be cancelled and deleted. Personal data including name, email and phone number will be retained by the system only if the worker has previously completed a job with TidyTask HQ. In all other cases, all the data regarding the worker will be deleted.

We will process your personal information lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. We collect and process information about you only where we have legal bases for doing so.

These legal bases depend on the services you use and how you use them, meaning we collect and use your information only where:

1. it's necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract (for example, when we provide a service you request from us);
2. it satisfies a legitimate interest (which is not overridden by your data protection interests), such as for research and development, to market and promote our services, and to protect our legal rights and interests;
3. you give us consent to do so for a specific purpose (for example, you might consent to us sending you our newsletter); or
4. we need to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.

Where you consent to our use of information about you for a specific purpose, you have the right to change your mind at any time (but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place).

We don't keep personal information for longer than is necessary. While we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and cannot guarantee absolute data security. If necessary, we may retain your personal information for our compliance with a legal obligation or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

We may collect, hold, use and disclose information for the following purposes and personal information will not be further processed in a manner that is incompatible with these purposes:

1. to enable you to customize or personalize your experience of our website or mobile apps;
2. to enable you to access and use our website, associated apps and associated social media platforms;
3. to contact and communicate with you;
4. for internal record keeping and administrative purposes;
5. for analytics, market research and business development, including to operate and improve our website, associated apps and associated social media platforms;
6. to run competitions and/or offer additional benefits to you;

Companies subscribed to TidyTask HQ will use the personal information we collect or receive to communicate directly with you via SMS.

TidyTask HQ sends two types of SMS messages to its users:

1. Transactional SMS messages. Transactional, service-related SMS messages are sent to update and communicate with you about products and services you have ordered and/or subscribed to. These messages include alerts such as “The company is en-route to your location”, upcoming service reminders, and replies to direct messages regarding jobs booked on TidyTask HQ. Since these are important updates, initiated by you, these cannot be unsubscribed or opted out from.
2. Marketing SMS messages. Marketing SMS messages are sent containing info on services that may or may not be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive such SMS messages, you will be given the option to opt out at any time.

1. We may disclose personal information to:
   1. third party service providers for the purpose of enabling them to provide their services, including (without limitation) IT service providers, data storage, hosting and server providers, ad networks, analytics, error loggers, debt collectors, maintenance or problem-solving providers, marketing or advertising providers, professional advisors and payment systems operators;
   2. our employees, contractors and/or related entities;
   3. sponsors or promoters of any competition we run;
   4. credit reporting agencies, courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities, in the event you fail to pay for goods or services we have provided to you;
   5. courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities and law enforcement officers, as required by law, in connection with any actual or prospective legal proceedings, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights;
   6. third parties, including agents or sub-contractors, who assist us in providing information, products, services or direct marketing to you; and
   7. third parties to collect and process data.
2. For a better experience and in order to provide our service, we may require you to provide to us, either directly or indirectly, certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your username and OAuth credentials. This is for the purpose of syncing your Google Calendar with TidyTask HQ, and TidyTask HQ into your Google Calendar.

The personal information we collect is stored and processed in the United States, or where we or our partners, affiliates and third-party providers maintain facilities. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the disclosure to these overseas third parties. These third parties may include Amazon Web Services for cloud infrastructure and data hosting, Google for GPS mapping and routing, Rainforest Pay for credit card processing, Sendgrid for transactional emails, and Twilio for SMS messaging.

We will ensure that any transfer of personal information from countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) to countries outside the EEA will be protected by appropriate safeguards, for example by using standard data protection clauses approved by the European Commission, or the use of binding corporate rules or other legally accepted means. Where we transfer personal information from a non-EEA country to another country, you acknowledge that third parties in other jurisdictions may not be subject to similar data protection laws to the ones in our jurisdiction. There are risks if any such third party engages in any act or practice that would contravene the data privacy laws in our jurisdiction and this might mean that you will not be able to seek redress under our jurisdiction's privacy laws.

8. Unsubscribe: To unsubscribe from our e-mail database or opt-out of communications (including marketing communications), please contact us using the details below or opt-out using the opt-out facilities provided in the communication.

We use “cookies” to collect information about you and your activity across our site. A cookie is a small piece of data that our website stores on your computer, and accesses each time you visit, so we can understand how you use our site. This helps us serve you content based on preferences you have specified.
